The Winch-In-A-Bag™ is a complete winching solution in a convenient kit that features an LT2000 winch on a powder coated winch platform, a Teflon® winch rope guide, and 50 feet of 5/32 inch wire rope with latch hook and rope thimble. A sealed, eight foot remote control allows the user to operate the winch at a safe distance. The kit also includes both a four foot and 6 foot heavy duty choker strap and a one ton bow shackle, all in a compact easy to carry storage and travel bag.

Oganization Announcement Mid-West Regional Sales Manager

PUTNAM, CT - November 24, 2008 I am pleased to announce that Mr. Bruce Knutson has accepted the position of Mid-West Regional Sales Manager of Superwinch, Inc. He reports directly to me and will begin on Monday, December 1, 2008.

As Mid-West Regional Sales Manager, Bruce will assume all responsibilities associated with sales within the mid-western states of the USA for Superwinch. In this role, Bruce will concentrate on existing account management and relationship building, implementation of promotional marketing plans, independent sales agency training and mentoring, new account market research and focus on sustainable sales growth.

Bruce is a graduate of University of Wisconsin and comes to us with over 20 years of successful sales and sales management experience within the Automotive Aftermarket. Throughout these years, Bruce has been a successful leader in his field as he has managed key relationships with multiple regional, national and global accounts including several major OEMs.

Most recently, Bruce was the District Sales Manager for Truck Accessories Group, the leading producer of truck caps, camper shells and tonneau covers, where he managed a nine state territory including the division’s largest multi store customer. Previously, he was the Vice President at Four X Services, LLC, a third party warehouse and “break pack” distribution operation for Harley Davidson and the motorcycle industry. Bruce proved his abilities to achieve success during his 10 years at the Penda Corporation, the number one manufacturer of pickup truck bed liners and an innovator in truck products including tonneau covers, where he progressed from Aftermarket Sales Manager, to VP of International Operations to the VP of Aftermarket Sales.

Bruce has a proven track record in domestic aftermarket and worldwide OEM sales. His areas of expertise lie in, but not limited to outside sales, customer service, sales forecasting, maintaining customer service guidelines, sales training, developing marketing programs, and field sales staff management. His ability to acquire new clients, manage and motivate others as well as increase corporate revenues will make him a strong Regional Sales Manager for Superwinch.

Bruce, his wife Susan and three daughters, reside in Madison, WI. I am sure everyone will join me in welcoming Bruce to Superwinch.

Oganization Announcement Western Regional Sales Manager

PUTNAM, CT - November 24, 2008 I am pleased to announce that Mr. Gary Plover has accepted the position of Western Regional Sales Manager of Superwinch, Inc.  He reports directly to me and aggressively began analyzing his accounts on Tuesday, October 14, 2008.

As Western Regional Sales Manager, Gary will assume all responsibilities associated with sales within the western states of the USA for Superwinch. In this role, Gary will concentrate on existing account management and relationship building, implementation of promotional marketing plans, independent sales agency training and mentoring, new account market research and focus on sustainable sales growth.

Gary is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a BS in Business and comes to us with over 16 years of both national and international sales experience within the Automotive Aftermarket. Throughout these years, Gary has been a successful leader in his field as he has managed key relationships with multiple regional and national accounts and major OEMs.

Most recently, Gary was the Director of Aftermarket Sales for Goodridge USA, the world’s leading supplier of performance hose and fittings products which include brake lines, brake pads, fuel lines, oil lines, air jacks, wire harnesses, switches, and filters where he was responsible for their entire Aftermarket sales team. Previously, he was the National Sales Manager at Aisin World Corporation of America, one of the world's top ten global automotive parts manufacturers and was responsible for key Aftermarket and OEM accounts. He spent a brief time as Director of Sales for the United States and International Markets at Powertrax, a manufacturer of aftermarket traction control and locking differentials products. Gary was the Sales Manager for Nichirin-Flex USA for over six years and oversaw OEM sales for the Americas, which included four manufacturing sites and a regional sales office.

Gary has a proven track record in driving record setting revenues. His areas of expertise lie in, but not limited to key account management, market research and account retention strategies. He is a technical and independent thinker with a positive attitude and objective judgment which provides him with the experience and skills necessary to drive the western region sales to a new level of success for Superwinch.

Gary, his wife, and three children, reside in Yorba Linda, CA. I am sure everyone will join me in welcoming Gary to Superwinch.

PUTNAM, CT - November 22, 2008 Superwinch, Inc. has introduced the Rock 95 winch rock crawling winch. The Rock 95 is a lightweight, EXTREME low profile, narrow winch that fits in between the rails of Rock Crawling Rigs, with an industry-leading rating of 9,500 pounds and multiple mounting options.

Designed with the brake outside the drum to reduce rope melting heat build up, the Rock 95 comes with, 50 feet of synthetic rope, heavy-duty anodized aluminum hawse, Gunnebo TM latched hook, and Superwinch’s exclusive S3 Sealed Submersible Solenoid with 3-year Warranty (the best in the industry). The 3 installation configurations relate to the location of the solenoid control box. While the winch will be delivered with the box installed to the left facing, over the motor (Off-Set Configuration), the customer will have the option and the wiring kits to place this component directly over the drum (Center-Line Configuration), or installed a few inches away from the winch (Competition Configuration), as professional Rock Crawlers will tend to do.


 

Superwinch Sponsors Land Rover National Rally

PUTNAM, CT - August 20, 2008 Superwinch, Inc, joins in the celebration of Land Rover’s 60th Anniversary as the sole winch sponsor for the 2008 Land Rover National Rally being held in Moab, Utah, September 16 – 20, 2008. Also being celebrated is the 50th Anniversary of the Land Rover Series II.

The rally, based in Moab, home of the slick rock, will feature a wide variety of four wheeling challenges for novice and experienced four-wheelers. Events include an Off Road 101 where Bill Burke trained Trail Leaders will show new Rover owners how to safely navigate obstacles and gain confidence in their vehicle’s capabilities. Superwinch joins NEA4WD as Corporate Sponsor at Annual Conference

PUTNAM, CT - July 23, 2008 Superwinch, Inc, joined the Northeast Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs (NEA4WD) as a corporate sponsor and participated in the United Four Wheel Drive Association’s Annual Conference held July 10 though 12 in Manchester, New Hampshire, hosted by NEA4WD.

As part of their sponsorship, Mark Hart, Superwinch Marketing Manager, presented a short history of the company and introduced members to the company’s latest products, including a new synthetic rope winch, a new “best in the industry” Limited Lifetime Warranty and the newly branded S3 Solenoid that carries an unprecedented 3-year warranty exhibited by a cut-a-way model of the winch. Opening the talk to questions, Hart noted that the members were most curious about synthetic rope. Superwinch also donated a winch to be raffled off during the conference.

The winner of the Superwinch EPi9 was Patti Guptil of Terre Haute, Indiana, a member of the SWAK (Safe Wheelers of All Kinds) club and the Indiana Four Wheel Drive Association. Superwinch Appoints Warton Ong, Director
Asia Business Development and Strategic Sourcing

PUTNAM, CT - June 25, 2008 President and CEO, Ned Cunningham announced the appointment of Warton Ong to the position of Director, Asia Business Development and Strategic Sourcing. Ong will report directly to Cunningham.

In his new position, Ong will assume responsibilities for the local management of all sourcing partners in Asia; management of distributors in Australia and New Zealand as well as direct management of Superwinch’s relationship with Toyota, Australia; the identification, evaluation, and development of potential growth opportunities in China and Southeast Asia, and active participation in Superwinch’s strategic planning process.

As a successful senior manager, Ong brings more than twenty years of broad international experience including general management, sales, marketing, and product development. Most recently he was the Regional Managing Director, Asia for Gardner Denver Nash. Earlier, Ong was the General Manager of the company’s China Subsidiary in Shanghai. His experience also encompasses direct sales, marketing and general management activities throughout India, Pakistan, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia.

Ong received his bachelor’s degree in engineering in Singapore and an MBA from Pepperdine University in California. He and his wife, Helen, and their three children reside in Singapore.

Designed with the brake outside the drum, EP winches are ideally suited to heat-sensitive synthetics. Organization Announcement - Director of Finance

PUTNAM, CT - March 19, 2008 I am pleased to announce that Mr. Mike Harrison has accepted the position of Director of Finance of Superwinch, Inc. He will report directly to me and will begin on Monday, March 24, 2008.

As Director of Finance, Mike will assume all responsibilities associated with Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology for Superwinch, Inc. In this role, Mike will not only concentrate on managing the company’s day to day financial activities, but also participate in formulating corporate strategy as well as taking a leadership role in developing and implementing appropriate operational and financial analysis that will support the company’s strategic direction. Mike will also coordinate and manage the reporting activities of the organization.

Mike is a senior management professional with broad financial leadership experience. His expertise spans operational and financial management, accounting, treasury functions and strategy development. He has had success in managing banking relationships, foreign currency activities, ERP implementations and human resource activities.

Mike enjoyed a successful career with the Rogers Corporation where he held a variety of positions in both divisional and corporate organizations. Most recently Mike was CFO and Vice President of a privately held, start up company in Massachusetts.

Mike’s broad background provides him with the experience and skills necessary to help lead the organization to the level of success we aspire to at Superwinch. Mike and his wife Alma reside in Brooklyn, CT. I’m sure everyone will join me in welcoming Mike to Superwinch.


 

Superwinch Appoints Zach Bohn, Director, Sales and Marketing

PUTNAM, CT - February 6, 2008 President & CEO, Ned Cunningham announced the appointment of Zach Bohn to the position of Director, Sales and Marketing, effective January 7th. Bohn will report directly to Cunningham.

As Director, Sales and Marketing, Bohn will assume all responsibilities associated with sales, marketing and customer service activities for Superwinch, Inc. He will concentrate on developing an organization that is responsive to customers, provides innovative market programs and focuses on sustainable sales growth.

Bohn brings broad sales, marketing and product leadership experience to Superwinch that spans automotive replacement parts and aftermarket tools, mass merchandizing and industrial products. Comfortable in managing a company's sales force and independent representative structures, he has also has “hands on” experience in direct sales, managing customer relationships, and contract negotiations with a variety of sales channels.

Most recently, Bohn was the Global Strategic Business Unit Director for a newly established division of Stanley Works. Previously, he held a key Product Management position at Dorman Products, a leading supplier of replacement parts, hardware, and tools to the automotive aftermarket, mass merchandisers and OEMs. Zach's career also encompasses successful experience with Calterm, American Brake Supply and CSK Auto.

Bohn and his wife, Donna, reside in Burlington, CT. His son and daughter currently live in Texas.

Superwinch appoints E.F. Cunningham, President & CEO

PUTNAM, CT - October 19, 2007 Chairman of the Board & Chief Executive Officer, Ian Dodds announced the appointment of Mr. E. F. (Ned) Cunningham to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Superwinch Inc, effective October 9th. He reports to Mr. Dodds, who continues on as Chairman. Ned has become a Superwinch shareholder and a member of the Superwinch Advisory Board. He assumes overall management responsibility for all Superwinch divisions globally to maximize profitable growth. David Schramm as Chief Operating Officer reports to Ned.

Mr. Dodds commented, “Ned has proven his metal in tough market conditions and brings the kind of global management of sales, manufacturing, sourcing and brand marketing that we need.” Ned will be stationed at headquarters in Putnam, CT and travel to the annual SEMA, show in Las Vegas, October 30th – November 2nd .

“With the introduction of so many new products at SEMA 2007 and the improvements that Dave [Schramm] and his team have already made to the Superwinch sales and marketing efforts, I couldn't come to the company at a better time”, Cunningham said. “We are primed for growth in 2008 and will be ready as we continue with and add to the great work that began earlier this year,” he added.

Born in Waterbury, CT and with a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute where he was a star athlete, Ned has had an exceptional career with The Nash Engineering Company, a large multinational company based in Norwalk, CT. He joined Nash in 1977 as an Engineering Sales Trainee and ultimately became President before he merged it with a German competitor in a Private Equity transaction, and subsequently sold it to an American based company. Nash's business is Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps & Compressors used in paper making, mining, chemical and a variety of other industries.

Ned led Nash through the challenges of a changing world marketplace. Commoditization of brands with Global product proliferation crowding the marketplace required significant changes in the way Nash manufactured, sourced and marketed its products worldwide.

A broad background in worldwide Sales and Marketing, together with his extensive experience in China where Nash had manufacturing facilities, gives Ned two key elements essential to Superwinch's future. Just as important however are Ned's proven management abilities in focusing the efforts of all levels of the team.

Ned and his wife, Mary Ellen, will soon be relocating to the Putnam area. They have three daughters who all live in the Northeast.
